THE BIG DAY
Ready to Go Home at Around 12 Weeks
RagdollsFL kittens typically join their new families at approximately 12 weeks of age. This gives them important time to grow, develop and spend their early weeks in a family environment before beginning life in their new home.
Your kitten will go home with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, TICA and/or CFA registration documentation and our one-year genetic health guarantee.
BEFORE ARRIVAL
Prepare a Comfortable Welcome
Having the essentials ready before your kitten arrives will make those first days much easier. Start with a quiet, comfortable space and introduce the rest of the home gradually.
Create a Safe Space
Prepare a calm area where your kitten can eat, rest, use the litter box and become familiar with the new surroundings.
Have the Essentials Ready
Make sure food, litter, bowls, a carrier and other everyday essentials are ready before your kitten arrives.
Give Them Time
A new home means new people, sounds, smells and surroundings. Allow your kitten time to explore and adjust at their own pace.
Plan for Veterinary Care
Choose a veterinarian and be prepared to continue your kitten's routine care after adoption.
SETTLING IN
Your Kitten's First Days at Home
Some kittens settle in almost immediately, while others need a little more time. Give your new companion the opportunity to explore gradually and become comfortable with their new environment.
• Start your kitten in a small, quiet room, such as a bathroom or laundry room.
• Keep food, fresh water and the litter box easy to find.
• Show your kitten the litter box several times during the first few days so they learn its location.
• Spend quiet time together to help your kitten bond with you.
• Monitor eating and drinking closely during the first few days.
• Introduce other pets gradually and only after your kitten has had time to settle in.

FAMILY LIFE
Introducing Your Kitten to the Family
RagdollsFL kittens are raised in our home surrounded by family and children. Even a well-socialized kitten, however, needs time to become comfortable in a completely new environment.
Children
Encourage children to be gentle and patient while your kitten settles in. Let the kitten choose when to approach, play or rest.
Other Pets
Introductions to cats, dogs and other household pets should be gradual. Give your kitten a safe space of their own while everyone becomes familiar with one another.
